Antigravity Panel
Antigravity Panel is an extension for Google Antigravity IDE that keeps track of AI model usage and manages the IDE's caches. Its sidebar and status bar show the remaining quota, reset times and weekly limit for Gemini, Claude and other models, charts show recent usage and how fast quota is being used, and notifications warn when quota runs low, when it resets, or when it keeps dropping while the IDE is idle; it also warns when the current conversation's context is nearly full. For caches, you can browse and delete conversation and code tracker caches, or have them cleaned up automatically once they pass a set size. It also offers optional auto-accept for AI agent steps and generates commit messages through a local Ollama, Anthropic or an OpenAI-compatible API.
The problem it solves
When you work with Gemini, Claude and other models in Antigravity IDE, each model group has its own quota and reset time, and some also have a weekly limit. How much is left, when it comes back and whether the current pace will use it up early is hard to see at a glance in the IDE. Over time, conversation and code tracker caches also pile up and take disk space. Antigravity Panel gathers this information in one panel, so developers know where their quota stands while they work and can manage the caches themselves.
Main features
The sidebar and status bar show each model group's remaining quota, reset time and weekly limit, and charts show recent usage and how fast quota is being consumed. The extension sends a notification when quota runs low, when it resets, or when it keeps dropping while the user is not working, and it also warns when the current conversation's context is nearly full or has been compressed by the IDE. Caches can be browsed and deleted item by item, or cleaned up automatically once they pass a set size. The extension also offers optional auto-accept for AI agent actions and writes commit messages from staged changes. Each feature is described below.
Who it is for
Developers who use AI agents in Antigravity IDE regularly and need to plan their quota across models, and users who want to keep the IDE's caches under control.
What you need
- Google Antigravity IDE (based on VS Code 1.104 or later), signed in to your IDE account.
- A trusted workspace.
- Windows, macOS or Linux (including WSL). The interface is available in 15 languages.
- Install it from the Extensions view in Antigravity IDE, or get it from Open VSX or the VS Code Marketplace.
- For auto-accept to click buttons in the agent panel, start the IDE with remote debugging port 9222.
- Commit message generation needs Ollama running locally, or an API key for Anthropic or an OpenAI-compatible service.
Data and privacy
The extension does not collect usage statistics. The quota, context and cache features only communicate with the IDE on your machine. When you generate a commit message, the staged changes are sent to the model service you have chosen.
Cache management
Browse conversation and code tracker caches, open or delete individual items, or clean up everything at once while keeping the 5 most recently active tasks by default. The cache can also be cleaned automatically once it passes a set size (500 MB by default). Deleting by hand always asks for confirmation first.
Quota and weekly limits
Lists remaining quota and reset time per model group or per model, and, when the IDE provides the data, the weekly limits of the Gemini and Claude pools. Subscription credits such as Google One AI are listed as well. The status bar marks each model group in green, yellow or red according to what is left.
Commit messages
Writes a commit message from your staged changes and places it in the Source Control input box. It works with a local Ollama, Anthropic or an OpenAI-compatible API, and API keys are kept in the editor's secure storage.
Conversation context
Shows how much of the context window the current conversation uses and warns at 80% by default. It also tells you when the IDE has compressed the conversation, so you can decide whether to start a new one.
Usage trends
A chart shows usage over a recent period, 90 minutes by default and adjustable from 10 to 120 minutes. The panel also shows the current rate of use, estimates whether quota will run out before it resets, and compares the last 7 days with the 7 days before.
Optional auto-accept
When turned on, file edits made by the AI agent are accepted automatically, which saves confirming each change; it is off by default. Running terminal commands automatically is a separate option, and commands that look destructive are always left to the user.
