E-Visa 签证助手 Privacy Policy
How E-Visa 签证助手 handles your data and the permissions it uses.
Last updated: June 22, 2026
01 Introduction
Datafrog LLC ("we", "us", or "our") provides E-Visa Helper, a Chrome extension that helps travelers and travel teams save passport profiles, scan passport MRZ data, and autofill supported official visa and arrival-card websites. This policy explains what data E-Visa Helper accesses, how it is used, and which choices you control.
02 Information E-Visa Helper Accesses
E-Visa Helper accesses the following information only to provide its passport workspace and autofill features:
- Passport profile data you enter or save, such as name, passport number, nationality, date of birth, gender, passport issue date, passport expiry date, and related travel-form fields.
- Contact and default form settings you enter, such as email address, phone details, occupation, travel details, and country-specific form defaults.
- Passport images or MRZ images you choose to scan for OCR recognition.
- Extension settings, selected country workflow, saved tab state, OCR thumbnails, language preference, and display preferences stored with Chrome storage.
E-Visa Helper does not read arbitrary webpages. It runs only on the supported government visa and arrival-card domains declared in the extension manifest, plus Datafrog domains used for account, subscription, and OCR services.
03 How We Use This Information
E-Visa Helper uses this information to save and search passport profiles, prefill supported official forms, keep fill logs visible in the side panel, validate required fields, identify duplicate passport records, process OCR scans, enforce account and plan limits, and optionally sync data to your Google Drive when you enable that feature.
04 Local Storage and Downloads
By default, passport profiles, form defaults, thumbnails, and extension settings are stored locally in Chrome storage on your device. The extension may also save passport image files through Chrome's downloads API when you choose features that store or export images locally. Data remains on your device unless you use a feature that sends it to Datafrog for OCR or account services, or you enable Google Drive sync.
05 Passport OCR
Passport OCR is an optional account feature. When you submit a passport image for OCR, the extension compresses and sends the image to Datafrog's OCR API over HTTPS. The OCR service processes the image to extract MRZ fields and returns structured passport data to the extension. OCR images are used to provide the scan result and service controls; they are not used for advertising or user profiling.
06 Optional Google Drive Sync
Google Drive sync is optional. If you connect Google Drive, E-Visa Helper uses Google OAuth and the Google Drive API to create or update files in your own Drive, including passport_data.json and related passport image files used for backup and restore. These files are stored in your Google account, and you can disconnect Drive sync from the extension.
07 Account and Subscription Data
If you sign in with Google, Datafrog receives basic account information such as your email address, name, and profile identifier so we can authenticate you, issue Datafrog session tokens, restore your session, check plan limits, and manage subscription access. Payment and subscription operations are handled through Datafrog's billing flow and payment provider; the extension does not store payment card details.
08 Chrome Permissions
E-Visa Helper requests only the permissions needed for its features:
-
storage- stores passport profiles, settings, thumbnails, language preference, and session data. -
sidePanel- shows the passport workspace and fill controls beside supported websites. -
webNavigation- detects navigation changes in multi-step official forms. -
downloads- saves or opens locally stored passport image backups when you use those features. -
unlimitedStorage- prevents local passport profiles and image thumbnails from being constrained by default browser storage limits. -
identity- supports Google sign-in and optional Google Drive authorization.
09 Host Permissions
E-Visa Helper declares host permissions for supported Southeast Asian government visa and arrival-card websites so it can detect form pages and inject the passport and travel data you choose to autofill. It also declares Datafrog and related service domains for account login, subscription checks, OCR requests, and product service communication.
10 Data Sharing
We do not sell your passport data, form data, Google account data, or Google Drive data. We do not use this data for advertising, creditworthiness, or unrelated profiling. We share data only as needed to provide the feature you requested, comply with law, protect the service, or process account and payment operations.
11 Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains in Chrome storage or your local downloads until you delete it, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension. Google Drive backup files remain in your Google Drive until you delete them or revoke access. Datafrog account, subscription, and service records are retained as needed to provide the service, handle billing, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, and support security auditing.
12 Your Choices
You can delete saved passport profiles in the extension, clear extension data in Chrome, disconnect Google Drive sync, revoke Google access in your Google account, export or remove local backups, and contact us for account privacy requests. You should review all official government forms before submitting them; E-Visa Helper helps prepare the form but does not submit applications on your behalf unless a workflow explicitly asks you to confirm an action.
13 Children's Privacy
E-Visa Helper is not directed to children. It is designed for travel-document and official-form workflows used by adults or authorized travel teams. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14 Google API Limited Use
E-Visa Helper's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide user-facing extension features such as sign-in and optional Drive sync, and is not used for advertising.
15 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when E-Visa Helper's functionality, data handling, or service providers change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
